Job description

Position Summary

The Walmart Dairy Plant in Fort Wayne, IN is one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in the United States. We provide our customers with the freshest, high-quality milk at everyday low prices for families. We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to assist in blow mold and filler areas.

What you'll do
  • Monitor dairy plant production packaging, following Standard Operating Procedures and GMPs, ensuring accurate documentation and recording of production and quality data. Operate and troubleshoot automated and manual processing systems, filling and packaging equipment, and monitor weight control, communicating issues to management.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring packaging materials, entering data into inventory systems, staging supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by properly setting up and maintaining filling equipment, performing food safety and quality assurance protocols, and collaborating across departments to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Complete work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, collaborating with team members, prioritizing tasks, and suggesting improvements.
  • Comply with company policies, standards, and ethics, promoting Walmart values and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in a distribution or production environment, such as logistics, supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

Optional qualifications include experience in Continuous Improvement, HACCP, Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related fields.
