Job summary

Kelly Services in Athens, GA seeks a Manufacturing Operator to join a premier pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing client. The role offers a rotating shift schedule and a pay rate of $22 per hour.

You'll operate production equipment, document batch records, and support cGMP/SOP compliance while aiming for skill development and career growth in a safe, well-established environment. Overtime opportunities may be available to support production needs and project timelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to follow supervision and detailed instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and manufacturing equipment.
  • Capable of accurate documentation and safety procedures.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including transporting materials.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate chemical production processes according to detailed instructions under supervision.
  • Set up, operate, and clean production equipment for pharmaceutical, narcotic, or medical device products.
  • Complete all associated support activities in product manufacturing.
  • Accurately complete batch records, logs, SAP transactions, and other documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Demonstrate effective operation and basic troubleshooting of dryers, centrifuges, mills, reactors, water systems, DCS and PLC control systems.
  • Perform process sampling and follow process and utility flow diagrams.
  • Partner with Supervisors and Quality Department to recommend procedural improvements.
  • Transport materials safely using proper equipment.
  • Conduct area safety inspections and participate in internal audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accountability of products as required.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22/hr

Shift: Rotating schedule – 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, etc. | 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights | Hours: 6:45 to 7:15

What’s a typical day as Manufacturing Operator? You’ll be:
  • Operating chemical production processes according to detailed instructions under supervision
  • Setting up, operating, and cleaning production equipment for pharmaceutical, narcotic, or medical device products
