Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Production Operator to operate equipment and monitor quality in a manufacturing environment. The role offers a schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, with every other Wednesday, from 3:15pm to 3:30am, and a pay rate of $24.15/hr.

The position requires handling raw materials, keeping precise production records, performing in-process tests, and promptly addressing equipment issues to maintain output. This is a production-floor role with attention to safety and efficiency.

Production Operator

Pay rate: $24.15/hr

Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday every other Wednesday 3:15pm to 3:30am

Typical Duties
  • Operates equipment used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods.
  • Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in manufacturing and keeps accurate and up-to-date records and/or data sheets on materials in process.
  • Performs in-process tests to ensure production meets required specifications.
  • Recognizes equipment malfunctions and/or product deficiencies, and troubleshoots errors to achieve continuing optimum production levels.
Job Examples
  • Hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content.
  • Follows blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
  • Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory.
  • Matches workload, manning, and equipment capacity to existing inventory.
  • Prepares and monitors master schedules by working with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel to coordinate activities.
  • Requisitions materials after determining delivery dates.
Skill Level
  • Applies semi-advanced skills and proficiency, typically acquired through a combination of job-related vocational training and relevant work experience (2+ years).
  • Performs advanced functions to develop advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, material, and/or equipment.
  • May require external certification in some disciplines.
Competencies/ Skill Level Application
  • Requires judgment and basic problem- solving skills to accomplish tasks.
