Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Team Leader to oversee third-shift production, guiding 1–2 areas to meet plan while ensuring quality, safety, and housekeeping. You will coach teams, troubleshoot issues, and deliver performance feedback within a People First culture.

The role emphasizes 5S, continuous improvement, and active involvement in maintenance, CI, and value stream projects. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 3+ years in manufacturing or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Project planning and organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate 1–2 production areas to safely hit plan while upholding quality and safety goals.
  • Coach production teams in union and/or non-union settings; troubleshoot process, equipment, and materials issues.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and formal performance appraisals to build high-performing teams grounded in a People First Culture.
  • Teach and enforce quality, safety, and 5S; propose floor improvements when opportunities appear.
  • Support maintenance, CI, and value stream projects to keep schedules on track.
  • Lead root-cause analysis; engage resources to resolve problems quickly and implement durable fixes.
  • Document and respond to product/process nonconformances.
  • Establish and sustain 5S so essential tools and materials are always within reach.
  • Own changes to machines, processes, materials, and assembly; run Kaizen events to drive improvement.
  • Create and update value stream maps and standard work.
  • Keep records and documentation accurate and compliant with policies and procedures.
