Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Cell Lead to drive shift performance and ensure safe, high-quality production. You will translate requirements into clear tasks, monitor KPIs, and lead troubleshooting to sustain flow.

You will coach staff, verify adherence to procedures, and champion continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with cross-functional partners to protect quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; leadership experience.
  • Experience with robotics/automation equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate shift activities to meet KPI targets.
  • Coach team members and ensure proper training and documentation.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and quality issues.
  • Stop production when safety or quality is at risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in continuous improvement.

Job description

Manufacturing Operations Cell LeadA day in the roleYou begin the shift with a quick huddle: clarifying production goals, aligning the team to KPI targets, and distributing work based on Visual Work Instructions (VWI) and job procedures. You review the previous shift’s handoff, prioritize abnormalities and quality alerts, and set immediate countermeasures to keep the line safe and on target.On the floor, you track performance, respond to process issues, and troubleshoot equipment or workflow bottlenecks. You coach team members in real time, confirm training is complete and effective, and ensure documentation stays current. Throughout the day, you coordinate with cross-functional partners, escalate risks, and—when needed—stop production to protect quality or safety.Before shift-end, you finalize countermeasure tracking for unplanned downtime (DT), quality escapes, KPI gaps, and safety observations.
