Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager 1 at Elkton, Maryland to lead casting and mixing operations in a busy production environment.

You will oversee schedules, material availability, and KPI-driven improvements while ensuring safety and quality compliance. A Secret clearance and extensive manufacturing experience are required, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 9 years of experience in manufacturing/production environments (or 5 years with a Bachelor's, 3 with a Master's).
• Excellent verbal communication with Technician staff, manufacturing support, and management.
• Support customer proposals by providing basis of estimates (BOE) for labor and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Northrop Grumman policies for manufacturing.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate energetic mixing and casting operations while maintaining safety and quality objectives.
• Plan, manage, and control production schedules with MRP to meet delivery requirements.
• Oversee work in process, material availability, and production issues to ensure resources are available.
• Own KPIs that drive process control, continuous improvement, and efficiency.
• Provide direction and training to employees to ensure operational success.
