Job summary

Grace is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Manager for the Baton Rouge, LA site. You will lead the Production Engineering team, oversee shift supervisors, and drive a high-performance culture including union engagement.

You will oversee EHS, quality, production volume and cost while implementing Six Sigma and Lean improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or substantial manufacturing leadership experience, with strong communication skills and ownership to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of manufacturing/operations experience with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong ownership to drive results and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of PSM programs; chemical plant experience required.
• Experience in a Chemical Engineer role; union workforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production engineering and oversee shift supervisors to meet production goals.
• Manage labor, overtime, training and development for operators and engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma and Lean initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance, safety, quality and scheduling to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards and discipline when needed.
• Develop and monitor annual operating plans, yields and fixed costs.
