Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager in Baton Rouge, LA to oversee daily production, maintenance, and administrative operations. You will lead safety, quality, and Lean initiatives, coordinate with QA, sales, and finance, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing with Lean/Six Sigma expertise, ERP/Oracle experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel and safety compliance are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing experience with lead responsibilities.
• Strong EHS background and safety certifications preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems similar to Oracle; PM software experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations including production, maintenance, and administrative functions.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure adherence to customer specifications and in-process testing.
• Lead safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
• Manage budgeting, capital expenditures, and project analysis; drive cost reductions and productivity gains.
• Develop and lead plant staff through performance management, training, and policy implementation.
