Job summary

Vapor Power International, LLC in Illinois seeks an accomplished Manager of Operations to lead the manufacturing site. You will guide production, planning, warehouse, and engineering functions to meet budgets and schedules, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will oversee a 30+ person team, drive lean improvements, and partner with senior management to optimize processes and performance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or technical field.
• 5+ years manufacturing management experience with personnel responsibility.
• Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and process improvement ability.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, production, engineering design and automation for the site.
• Manage supervisors and staff ensuring safety, performance, and attendance.
• Develop new process technology and integrate into production lines.
• Monitor backlog and plan production to meet schedules and budgets.
• Establish production schedules and ensure adherence to policies and specs.
• Drive inventory optimization and continuous improvement across lines.
