Job summary

nVent in Lexington, MN is seeking a manufacturing operations leader to drive safety, productivity, and cost performance at our new facility opening in 2027. You will oversee day-to-day production, lead supervisors, manage performance, and partner with HR on talent development.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of leadership in manufacturing, with strong communication and data-driven problem-solving to meet aggressive targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years in manufacturing operations leadership, with 2+ years leading Supervisors.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data driven mentality

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and work direction for the team to ensure resources needed are adequate to meet safety, service levels, cost, and productivity.
• Provide performance management for supervisors, manufacturing and warehouse team.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure commitments are achieved and drive improvements.
• Track daily performance; verify countermeasures and recovery plans are in place to meet targets.
• Lead safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment.
• Establish and implement continuous improvement plans.
