Job summary

nVent in Lexington, MN is seeking a manufacturing operations leader to drive safety, productivity, and cost performance at our new facility opening in 2027. You will oversee day-to-day production, lead supervisors, manage performance, and partner with HR on talent development.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of leadership in manufacturing, with strong communication and data-driven problem-solving to meet aggressive targets.

• Ideally 3+ years in manufacturing operations leadership, with 2+ years leading Supervisors.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data driven mentality

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and work direction for the team to ensure resources needed are adequate to meet safety, service levels, cost, and productivity.
• Provide performance management for supervisors, manufacturing and warehouse team.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure commitments are achieved and drive improvements.
• Track daily performance; verify countermeasures and recovery plans are in place to meet targets.
• Lead safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment.
• Establish and implement continuous improvement plans.

Upon hire, onboarding and training will be held at our facilities in Blaine or Anoka, MN until the Lexington facility opens.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Provide leadership and work direction for the team to ensure that resources needed are adequate to meet key requirements related to safety, service levels, cost, and productivity. Provide performance management for supervisors, manufacturing and warehouse team. Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure current commitments are achieved and drive improvements. Track daily performance; verify team leader(s) counter measures and recovery plans are in place to ensure targets are met. Recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and support production plans. Lead safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment. Provide corrective action when necessary. Maintain open communication with employees and address concerns with HR input. Ensure strategic plans for talent acquisition, development and performance management. Help establish and implement continuous improvement plans.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range

$105,000.00 - $195,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
