Job summary

CP Industries in Granger, IN is seeking a dynamic manufacturing leader to direct engineering, CNC machining, gage and fixture design, and robotics/automation teams. You’ll build the production schedule, set priorities, and drive on-time delivery with accountability from the floor.

You’ll report to the Owner/President, own safety and ISO compliance, review quotes for feasibility, and lead talent development through training and apprenticeship programs while delivering measurable improvements in

Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a machine shop or custom operation.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, automation/ robotics, fixture and gage design, and CMM inspection.
Engineering or manufacturing degree preferred.
Experience with automotive tooling, ISO environments, or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Direct management of supervisors, leads, and design engineering with hiring/ firing authority.
Own production schedule, overtime, and shift staffing decisions.
Set priorities for jobs to ensure on-time completion and efficient use of resources.
Develop talent through training and apprenticeship programs.
Own quality and ISO compliance, including CMM inspection and standards.
Own the plant safety program and OSHA compliance.
Review quotes for accuracy to plan and staff projects realistically.
Recommend equipment and automation investments to ownership.
Set and report key performance metrics to ownership.
