Job summary

Midwest Precision, a precision CNC manufacturer in Eastlake, OH, seeks a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations, drive safety and quality, and improve delivery performance. You will manage supervisors and crews, optimize workflow, and align with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues and meet customer commitments.

The role requires at least five years of leadership in manufacturing, strong CNC/ERP experience, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading production schedules and teams in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, workflow, capacity and metrics.
• Ability to coach supervisors and hold teams accountable.
• Experience improving safety, quality, delivery and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and staff.
• Direct daily production activities to meet schedules and customer commitments.
• Set expectations for output, quality, safety, attendance and accountability.
• Monitor labor, capacity, machine performance, downtime, scrap and rework.
• Partner with Supply Chain on priorities and schedules.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Maintenance on issues.
• Ensure adherence to work instructions and quality requirements.
• Review metrics and take action to improve performance.
• Support staffing, training, and employee development with HR.
• Drive continuous improvement in setup times and throughput.
