gpac is partnering with a respected manufacturing company in the Springfield, IL area to recruit an Engineering Manager with a strong CNC background. This hands-on leadership role focuses on improving machining processes, throughput, tooling, and overall performance on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional engineering and production teams, drive continuous improvement projects, and act as a technical resource to optimize cycles and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering or manufacturing background with strong CNC machining experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or CNC-focused environments.
• Leadership experience or desire to grow into a larger leadership role.

Responsabilités

• Lead engineering efforts supporting CNC machining and manufacturing operations.
• Improve manufacturing processes, cycle times, tooling, fixturing, and efficiency.
• Partner with production, quality, and operations teams to solve problems and drive results.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Help develop manufacturing strategies that improve performance and scalability.
• Serve as a technical resource for machining-related engineering challenges.
