Job summary

The incumbent will supervise leads and team members, plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and collaborate with Quality and Planning to meet customer demands.

Qualifications

• Must complete all required job training.
• Associate Degree in business or engineering field or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to managers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Supervises processes in assigned area to ensure safe, efficient operations related to quality and productivity.
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale; seeks continuous improvement.
• Tracks absenteeism, timekeeping and PTO for all shift members.
• Coordinates resources to address issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensures training completion and maintains training records for the shift.
• Resolves employee issues using proper channels and progressive discipline when needed.
• Manages area performance measures and reports progress; drives Kaizen and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Maintains positive employee relations and environment through effective communication.
