Job summary

Extant Aerospace is seeking aDirector of Operations in Melbourne, Florida. The role entails leading the manufacturing facility's Operations environment, including EH&S, facilities and plant management, and supporting a high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility.

You will guide monthly plans to meet schedules, revenue, and cost targets, while supervising workers, equipment, and subcontractors and driving productivity gains through data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred; or a bachelor’s with 10+ years of direct industry experience.
• Past direct leadership experience; at least 6 years in people leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with data-driven decision-making and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Operations environment supporting Extant Aerospace's manufacturing facility including EH&S, Facilities and Plant Management.
• Support high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility.
• Lead team through monthly plans to meet and exceed schedule, revenue, and cost targets.
• Manage and supervise activities of workers, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Establish optimum resource utilization through efficient manpower management.
• Use statistical analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Promote open communication and continuous improvement.
• Improve standards and processes across the operations cycle.
• Develop and apply new methods, processes, and equipment for productivity gains.
