Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals in Manchester, NH, seeks a Director of Operations to lead three manufacturing facilities and plant leadership teams, reporting to the VP General Manager.

You will manage budgets, capital planning, workforce utilization, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity while driving Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, maintenance, and sourcing. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in architectural products, custom manufacturing, or specification-driven industries preferred.
• Proven success in high-mix, variable-volume environments.
• Experience leading plant managers and cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Lean or other structured operating system implementation experience.
• Experience leading ERP implementation and process standardization.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across three facilities and align with business goals.
• Drive a world-class safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve productivity, capacity, quality, and profitability.
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives meet customer and project requirements.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and partner with engineering to improve manufacturability.
• Provide leadership for production, manufacturing engineering, quality, maintenance, and sourcing.
