Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Production Assistant to support administrative, operational and documentation functions across the manufacturing facility in Aurora, CO. You will handle work orders, labor tracking, payroll support, training documentation and compliance with DORA apprenticeship programs.

The role requires on-site presence to liaise with production, HR, staffing agencies and regulatory bodies, ensuring data integrity and timely communications while promoting RK’s safety and operational

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production administrative role.
• Experience working in an ERP or manufacturing system environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain production information across the facility, including performance metrics.
• Process work orders (create, open, print, distribute, close, archive) for production activities.
• Support labor variances reconciliation and payroll reporting for shop floor staff.
• Maintain attendance records and process labor hours reports for staffing personnel.
• Maintain and update employee records in the IFS ERP system.
• Coordinate apprenticeship documentation (DORA) and track hours and deadlines.
• Manage document control, training matrices, and job performance records.
• Support onboarding and coordination of shop floor training and certifications.
• Assist supervisors with administrative training requirements and department meetings.
