HII Mission Technologies in Huntsville seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead shop-floor operations for Part Task Trainer systems, ensuring safe, efficient production and adherence to quality standards. The role emphasizes workforce leadership, process improvement, and manufacturing execution to support DoD programs.

You will coordinate with engineering, logistics, QA, procurement, and program management while driving schedule adherence and cost objectives in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 6 years progressive experience with a relevant engineering degree.
• 8–12 years manufacturing experience total.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience with lean manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Active Secret clearance with the US DoD.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix production environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams to schedules, quality, and cost goals.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations on the shop floor.
• Manage production lifecycle of multiple PTT systems with on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, resource plans, and build instructions.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, QA, procurement, and program management teams.
• Monitor production risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigations.
