Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools, machine shop equipment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines, Mazak controls, and tooling preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Welding, fabrication, and basic machining skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, CNC, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Install, align, and maintain motors, drives, bearings, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
  • Service sensors, actuators, valves, and instrumentation; replace worn components.
  • Fabricate, weld, and machine parts to support repairs and tooling needs.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and inventory using CMMS systems.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams on root-cause analysis and process improvements.

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Location: Sanford, NC

Hourly Rate: $25 - $30/hour + Night Shift Premium

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving reliability of production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, motors and pumps to minimize downtime, support production targets and maintain a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, CNC, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Install, align, and maintain motors, drives, bearings, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
  • Service sensors, actuators, valves, and instrumentation; replace worn components.
