Job summary

RBC Bearings Hartsville is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify a wide range of production machinery and facility systems. You will work closely with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to maximize equipment uptime and support safe, efficient operations.

This entry-level to mid-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to read blueprints;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and modify manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose failures and perform root cause troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance per schedules and manufacturer specs.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
