Job summary
RBC Bearings in Belton, SC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to serve as the plant's technical expert for equipment reliability, troubleshooting, maintenance strategy, and manufacturing support.
The ideal candidate will bring broad mechanical and electrical knowledge across controls, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC work, driving uptime, safety, and continuous improvement across maintenance and manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, or related experience.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, and industrial automation.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for complex equipment issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and automation systems.
- Mentor technicians and engineers across maintenance and operations.
- Identify reliability improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
