Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations at the Montgomery Plant, supervising electricians, mechanics, and dispatchers. You will manage electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and coordinate with other departments to keep downtime to a minimum while ensuring safety and SOP compliance.

You will lead planning, training, and staffing, handle procurement of parts, and ensure accurate work order

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years' industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
• Ability to lead others and reduce downtime through effective troubleshooting.
• Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to train employees and organize workload efficiently.
• Analytical mindset with ability to propose improvements.
• Strong cross-functional communication with other departments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly Maintenance Department staff including electricians and mechanics.
• Direct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and buildings.
• Plan workloads, develop policies, evaluate staff and train for SOP adherence.
• Plan materials for repair, servicing, and assembly of tools and equipment; oversee construction/repair projects.
• Schedule actions to minimize downtime and coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain professional relationships to meet departmental objectives.
• Lead safety meetings training hourly employees in safe practices.
• Instruct and train employees to ensure a well-trained workforce.
• Assist in staff selection and performance evaluations.
• Oversee completion and documentation of maintenance work orders; perform quality inspections.
• Respond to emergencies, coordinate with responders, direct staff and resources for repairs.
