Job summary

Plainville Plating Company Inc. seeks a hands‑on Maintenance Lead to manage the maintenance department on site. This full‑time role focuses on maintaining facility equipment, utilities, and production‑critical systems, while acting as the go‑to expert for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

You will work in a manufacturing environment, owning schedules and repairs. The position emphasizes hands‑on work, proactive problem solving, and direct impact on operations.

Qualifications

• Plumbing systems expertise: piping, pumps, leak detection, repairs.
• Electrical systems expertise: up to 3-phase, 440V.
• Air handling equipment: maintenance and performance checks.

• Steam heat systems: operation and maintenance.
• Chemical safety: safe handling and PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve facility equipment, utilities and production‑critical systems.

Plainville Plating is looking for a jack of all trades (and hopefully master of some) to manage our maintenance department. We are a small business, so this position requires hands‑on maintenance work, not just oversight.

About the Role

This is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for maintaining and improving facility equipment, utilities, and production‑critical systems. You’ll be the go‑to expert for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Required Experience

• Plumbing systems — piping, pumps, leak detection, repairs
• Electrical systems — up to 3‑phase, 440V
• Air handling equipment — maintenance and performance checks
• Chillers — operation, troubleshooting
• Electric motors — installation, repair, replacement
• Steam heat systems — system operation and maintenance

Preferred Experience
