Job summary

Cerro Wire LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking reliable production operators for a 12-hour rotating shift in our New York facility near Town of Ogden. You will run copper wire production equipment, monitor quality, and follow safety procedures to meet daily output targets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Run production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.
• Learn the various aspects of production processes (drawing, bunching, extrusion).
• Operate production equipment via computer controls.
• Meet daily production goals while following prescribed guidelines.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping on the floor.

Our production team is built of individuals with drive, passion, and high standards that are reflected in our products. With several machines in each plant that contribute to another leg of product manufacturing that develop each team member’s skill and development.

This is a 12-hour shift on 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Run production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.
• Learn the various aspects of production processes, such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.
• Utilize computer controls to operate production equipment.
• Run production equipment to prescribed guides to achieve daily production goals efficiently.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.
• Maintain good housekeeping around lines, production floor, and communal areas.
• When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.
• Assist where needed on the production floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than producing product on your regularly assigned equipment.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.

Working Conditions

• Operators are constantly exposed to elevated level of noise and several types of materials including nylon, PVC, machine fluids, cleaning products, and more. Daily exposure to hot/cold environments is normally found in our warehouse-type environment without climate control.
• Physical activity associated with the daily performance of this job includes but is not limited to: Continuous standing and walking, grasping; frequent lifting, stooping, pulling, and pushing; occasional climbing.
