Job summary

Cerro Wire LLC is seeking a production operator to run equipment that manufactures high-quality copper wire. You will learn drawing, bunching, and extrusion processes and use computer controls to operate the machinery.

You will perform hourly quality checks, maintain a safe and clean work area, and support the floor as needed. This is a 12-hour shift with a rotating schedule and growth opportunities within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to work in a noisy warehouse and with others.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to produce high-quality copper wire.
• Learn drawing, bunching, and extrusion processes.
• Use computer controls to run equipment.
• Perform hourly quality checks to meet standards.

Day shift is 7:00am-7:00pm.ResponsibilitiesRun production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.Learn the various aspects of production processes, such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.Utilize computer controls to operate production equipment.Run production equipment to prescribed guides to achieve daily production goals efficiently.Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards.Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.Maintain good housekeeping around lines, production floor, and communal areas.When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.Assist where needed on the production floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than producing product on your regularly assigned equipment.Other duties assigned.RequirementsMust be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.Ability to obtain a forklift certification.Operators must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.Must be 18 years of age or older.Employment is contingent upon passing pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.Working ConditionsOperators are constantly exposed to elevated level of noise and several types of materials including nylon, PVC, machine fluids, cleaning products, and more.
