With several machines in each plant that contribute to another leg of product manufacturing that develop each team member’s skill and development. This is a 12-hour shift on 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Day shift is 7:00am-7:00pm.Responsibilities* Run production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.* Learn the various aspects of production processes, such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.* Utilize computer controls to operate production equipment.* Run production equipment to prescribed guides to achieve daily production goals efficiently.* Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards.* Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.* Maintain good housekeeping around lines, production floor, and communal areas.* When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.* Assist where needed on the production floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than producing product on your regularly assigned equipment.* Other duties assigned.Requirements* Must be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.* Ability to obtain a forklift certification.* Operators must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.* Must be 18 years of age or older.* Employment is contingent upon passing pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.Working Conditions* Operators are constantly exposed to elevated level of noise and several types of materials including nylon, PVC, machine fluids, cleaning products, and more.
