Summary

This safety‑sensitive position involves handling customer parts, ensuring safety, and maintaining inventory for Bodycote’s thermal processing services. The role performs essential job functions under close supervision.

Essential Job Functions

• Efficiently and carefully place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks or other containers as required.
• Immediately bring any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to the HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.
• Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Remain aware of environmental concerns caused by the process and report deficiencies to the Supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.
• Take responsibility for the care and treatment of customer inventory, preventing customer loss or damage.
• Report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder).
• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work overtime, any shift, including weekends.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
• Attention to detail.

• Preferred: 1 year manufacturing experience; crane and forklift experience.
• Must be able to work third shift; Sunday night – Friday morning, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Work in a standing position for extended periods in an industrial environment.

• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly pay range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour. Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The position is classified as non‑exempt and is eligible for overtime pay per state and federal law. Shift differential and other additional compensation may apply. Benefits include employee and family medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage; company‑paid life and disability; HSA/FSA options; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and paid holidays; and an Employee Assistance Program. Benefit eligibility begins on day 61 of employment. This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign‑on retention bonus.
