Job summary

Bodycote plc in the United States Camas site is seeking a safety‑sensitive team member to perform essential duties under close supervision in a heavy industrial environment.

You will load/unload parts with baskets, operate forklift/crane, and protect customer inventory while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Overtime and 4th‑shift weekend work are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; US Citizens or Permanent Resident Card.
• Forklift operator certification required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to work 4th shift on weekends: Fri-Sun, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM.
• May be required to work overtime or any shifts, including weekends.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Must be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Safely place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks or containers as required.
• Immediately report any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Report environmental concerns caused by process to Supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care for customer inventory and prevent loss or damage; work safely and responsibly.
• Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers.
• Communicate clearly and follow rules and procedures; accept constructive criticism.

Summary: Performs essential job functions as directed under close supervision.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

· Efficiently and carefully place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks or other containers as required.

· Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.

· Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.

· Must be aware of environment concerns caused by process and report deficiencies to Supervisor

· Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

· This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.

· Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.

· Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment

· Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions

· Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions

· Ability to lift up to 35/lbs.

· May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.

· Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions

· Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Pay & Benefits Information

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.

This role is eligible for additional compensation, including shift differential, etc., if applicable.
