Job summary

Bodycote plc is seeking a safety‑sensitive team member to handle essential material handling tasks. You will place customer parts into baskets, operate forklifts, and ensure clean, safe work areas while following established procedures and reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements include a high school diploma, willingness to work overtime, and forklift certification. Crane experience is a plus; weekend 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM) is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance — U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Overtime or weekend shifts may be required.
• Forklift operator certification must be obtained and maintained.
• Attention to detail essential; ability to multitask.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred; crane and forklift experience preferred.
• 4th shift on weekends: Fri-Sun 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Summary: Performs essential job functions as directed under close supervision.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• Efficiently and carefully place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks or other containers as required.
• Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Must be aware of environment concerns caused by process and report deficiencies to Supervisor
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment
• Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions
• Ability to lift up to 35/lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.

Pay & Benefits Information

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.

This role is eligible for additional compensation, including shift differential, etc., if applicable.
