Job summary

Based in Winchester, KY, the Loader/Helper will perform essential job functions under the direction of the Plant Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

This position is safety-sensitive and requires full-time work (40+ hours per week). It is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus and includes paid holidays, PTO, 401(k) match, and health plans for employees and families.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math.
• Forklift certification required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing including cleaning, painting, wiring and fixturing.
• Loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Stacks/loads parts in customer bins or containers.
• Immediately reports any unusual problem to supervisor or management.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned or dictated by position.

Summary

Based in Winchester, KY the Loader/Helper will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Plant Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Prepares work for processing including cleaning, painting, wiring, fixturing, etc.
• Loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Stacks/loads parts in customer bins or containers.
• Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to Heat Treater, Foreman/Lead Person or management.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have knowledge of basic math.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must have forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in an industrial environment.
• Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
