Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an Engineering Manufacturing Liaison to support our Mechanical Systems team in expediting design and development, coordinating prototype and early production builds, and working with SMEs, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure timely progress.

The EML will evaluate complex production problems across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and procurement, providing guidance and external communications with vendors to meet delivery dates and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, planning, or related discipline with 8–10+ years planning/scheduling experience.
• Extensive understanding of planning and production operation theories and principles.
• Strong leadership, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work to meet milestones or deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to document and report findings.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prototype and initial production builds of mechanical systems and ground support equipment.
• Liaise with manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, SMEs, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Analyze engineering specifications and drawings to resolve production issues.
• Communicate across functional areas to obtain/provide technical information.
• Monitor schedules, advise management on progress and risks, resolve priority conflicts.
