Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an Engineering Manufacturing Liaison in Acton, MA. This role supports program engineering and manufacturing as a bridge between the two branches, expediting critical components to maintain schedule and resolving complex production issues.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business/planning or related field and 3–7 years of experience in planning and scheduling production. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, planning or related discipline is required or substitute experience.
• Knowledge of production and engineering support principles needed.
• Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with subcontractors and vendors to meet delivery dates.
• Analyze specifications and confer across functions for technical info.
• Visit departments to support design, manufacturing and quality.
• Coordinate priorities for manufacturing issues and track progress.
• Provide status updates and identify potential production problems.
• Manage engineering holds and lift orders for rapid resolution.
• Resolve conflicts in scheduling and shop capacity with planning.
• Conduct periodic program engineering/manufacturing planning meetings.
