Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) recruits an engineering-focused professional to develop and administer manufacturing processes and resolve production issues across manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering.

Under limited supervision, this role serves as a primary contact with internal/external stakeholders, guiding solutions to complex production problems and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in production/technical roles.
• Thorough knowledge of production and engineering administration; Lean manufacturing expertise.
• Customer focus with strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in analysis, evaluation and resolution of engineering related production problems.
• Develops, implements and administers manufacturing processes, procedures and tooling.
• Analyzes defective or non-conforming parts; implements corrective actions.
• Identifies training needs and develops training plans.
• Serves as primary contact with outside representatives; may represent the department on change control boards.
• Coordinates design and process change with engineering and manufacturing.
• Provides direction to support staff and less experienced professionals.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and company obligations.
• Maintains a productive and safe working environment per procedures.
• Assists in estimation of machined parts and supports project management.
• Expedites parts through manufacturing and provides feedback to design for manufacturability.
• Other duties as assigned.
