Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation invites you to join a 12-week Manufacturing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) internship in Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience in operations, lean manufacturing, quality, and logistics across our North American plants.

You will work on scrap reduction, cost-savings initiatives, and project leadership while developing skills in problem solving, teamwork, and communication. Eligible students progress to full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must pursue a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Operations/Operations Management or related field.
• Current cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Must have indefinite US work authorization; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead scrap reduction initiatives with scope and timeline development.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives across a plant including standardized work audits and throughput improvements.
• Manage equipment/resource relocation projects.
• Design and coordinate test programs or components with cost and quality in mind.
• Lead change management with impacted team members.
• Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing tools to projects.
