Jasper Engines & Transmissions is launching a Manufacturing Leadership Development Program in Jasper, IN. This program develops associates into Team Leader roles by exposing them to multiple manufacturing positions and teaching JUMP tactics for improvements in safety, quality, productivity and customer service.

Participants will engage in on-the-job training, project work, and cross-functional rotations to build leadership and operational excellence for future roles within the plant.

Qualifications

• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask across multiple areas.
• Willingness to learn and perform in various manufacturing positions.
• Focus on JASPER Unified Management Plan (JUMP) tactics to drive safety, quality, productivity and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Review call-ins and staffing to create production plans for daily operations.
• Manage KTM (Key Task Monitor) projects related to JUMP tactics.
• Collaborate with safety, quality and lean teams on concerns and opportunities.
• Finalize Continuous Improvement ideas.
• Coach team members to ensure cells hit their goals.
• Schedule production based on sales, inventory and staffing.
• Work with Team Leader on creating area training plans.
• Participate in additional training sessions related to personal and team growth.
• Rotate into leading each area to develop cross-functional management skills.

Job Description:Manufacturing Leadership Development Program – Jasper, INJob Description: The primary goal of the leadership development program is to develop associates that aspire to grow into a Team Leader and above. Throughout development, team members will learn the scope of work in a defined cell and how to support the area associates. They will learn to multitask and will have the opportunity to learn and perform in various manufacturing positions. These high potential associates will learn to support many areas of our business to develop into cross-functional leaders.
