Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Unit Leader to guide assigned production groups toward safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will set expectations, coach supervisors, manage staffing and training, and partner with senior leaders to align policy and metrics with business goals. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI development, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement, with travel rarely required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Production Management, Engineering Technology or related discipline; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Master's degree a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in a manufacturing organization; ERP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Convey goals and expectations clearly to assigned team. Proactively provide coaching to ensure employees meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Oversee planning for machines, equipment, and product flow through the facility based on customer priorities and available resources
• Oversee assigned production team, including shift staffing, scheduling, task assignment, attendance and performance management, training and professional development
• Drive the safety culture of the assigned team, ensure safe working conditions, and report hazards to safety team
• Establish and review key metrics to assess team performance and drive continuous improvement
• Foster a collaborative environment with clear and timely communication on product flow and status updates
• Encourage continuous improvement and drive implementation of solutions with stakeholders
• Write and conduct formal performance reviews with each employee in partnership with HR
• Support company programs, strategy rollout, and improvement initiatives as a leadership team member
