Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a Lead in manufacturing to assist the supervisor, train less experienced staff, and help plan and delegate work within quality standards.

The role requires coordinating safety training, tool setups, and department operations while ensuring documentation and records are accurate. The position emphasizes adherence to production schedules, material flow control, and effective communication with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication to train staff.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and change notices.
• Proficient in basic math and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Follow housekeeping and safety practices to maintain quality.
• Complete departmental paperwork with attention to detail and explain processes.
• Understand department documentation and ensure changes have authorization.
• Expedite work flow and monitor production in their area.
• Notify management of shortages, safety or equipment issues.
• Log time and inventory, and assist in training others.
• Operate and train others in safety protocols and equipment use.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Recordkeeping of work performed and adherence to OPCs/QCPs.
• Swing shift leads ensure security and closing procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
