Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems, Inc Career Center in Mesa, AZ seeks a Manufacturing Lead to supervise day-to-day operations and become the SME for designated work cells. The role trains staff, schedules activities, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time production on the line.

Responsibilities include reviewing master schedules, leading meetings, and ensuring documentation accuracy while maintaining equipment readiness and a culture of continuous improvement. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain BATF clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proven experience in motivating and training subordinates.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and provide guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Capacity to work in fast-paced environments and manage overtime.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety regulations and promote safe work practices.
• Become the manufacturing subject matter expert for assigned work cells.
• Review production master schedule and assign tasks.
• Lead daily department meetings and coordinate production work.
• Ensure workers are trained per SOPs and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate production documentation.
• Ensure availability of tools, materials, and supplies.
• Set up/teardown workstations and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain production rates and efficiency standards.
• Maintain facilities and drive continuous improvement ideas.
• Monitor performance and document behavior to Supervisor.
• Generate maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Follow standard safety practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
