Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact well and coach team members.
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to team/department.
• Trains, supports and monitors direct reports to ensure expected job performance.
• Helps recruit and select team members.
• Meets and exceeds Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals.
• Leads Continuous Improvement projects using LEAN tools and concepts.
• Evaluates performance of direct reports via reviews.
• Provides coaching and development to team members.
• Provides production data and reports as required by Manager.
• Conducts daily stand-up meetings and provides support as needed.
• Evaluates labor requirements to determine staffing levels.
• Monitors and recommends overtime requirements for the team/department.
• Helps resolve material issues with Purchasing and material management.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager.
