Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead their team and ensure efficient production and target performance.

You will supervise and develop staff, assist in hiring, monitor safety and quality metrics, participate in continuous improvement using LEAN tools, and report production data to the manager. The ideal candidate has leadership experience and a manufacturing background, with strong communication skills; an Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing environment
• Associates or Bachelor's degree, preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact well and coach team members
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to team/department
• Trains, supports and monitors and direct reports to ensure expected job performance
• Helps recruit and select team members
• Is responsible for meeting and exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals
• Helps lead Continuous Improvement projects and processes using LEAN tools and concepts
• Evaluates performance of direct reports by writing and administering reviews in a timely manner
• Provides coaching and development to team members
• Provides production data and reports as required by Manager
• Conducts daily stand- up meetings and provides support as needed
• Evaluates labor requirements to recommend proper staffing levels
• Monitors and recommends overtime requirements for the team/department
• Helps resolve material issues by working with Purchasing and material management
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager
