Job summary

The Institute for Performance and Learning in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Learning & Development / Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our employee and leadership development programs.

This on-site role focuses on production employees, leadership pipeline development, and organizational capability building, requiring expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and ROI measurement within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for leadership role in learning & development.
• Minimum 5 years in Training Management or L&D leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial training is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with LMS and data-driven evaluation of training ROI.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training strategy aligned with business goals (technical, compliance, leadership).
• Oversee multiple concurrent training programs and prioritize by business needs.
• Design and facilitate programs across all levels, from frontline to supervisors.
• Create Train-the-Trainer programs for production environments to ensure consistency.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to engaging content.
• Measure training impact and ROI, leveraging data to drive improvements.
• Oversee LMS content, tracking, and reporting for compliance and effectiveness.
• Deliver high-impact live and virtual training sessions.
• Continuously research industry trends to keep programs relevant.
