Corning Inc. seeks an IT technician to provide first-level technical support for plant manufacturing systems, collaborating with engineers, technicians and production staff to ensure reliable operation of automated control interfaces.

You will assist in process improvements and capital projects, with occasional after-hours on-call support. Corning offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package supporting health, retirement, and well-being.

Qualifications

1–3 years related experience in PC hardware/equipment troubleshooting.
Ability to read schematics and support peripherals such as touchscreens, thermal printers, barcode readers.
General Windows PC support for production equipment and imaging/setup of new PCs.
Able to communicate equally well with engineers, production associates, and managers.
Able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts and participate in capital projects.
Some after hours, on-call support may be needed.
