Job summary

ZT Systems seeks a Senior Staff MFG IT Systems Engineer to lead and design scalable on‑prem and hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will architect Linux/Windows platforms, manage hypervisors, and drive automation using Ansible and Terraform. Strong Python and networking skills are essential.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve business processes, ensure high availability, and document configurations and runbooks. This is a hands‑on leadership role in Secaucus, NJ.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of system engineering experience in enterprise IT environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred; MS degree acceptable with 6+ years experience.
• Knowledge of API development is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server platforms across on‑prem and cloud (hybrid) environments.
• Manage hypervisors (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) and storage platforms for performance and resilience.
• Design and operate Consul, Nomad, Vault, and Boundary in production.
• Standardize configuration management with Ansible and infrastructure provisioning with Terraform.
• Build automation in Python and Bash/PowerShell; develop scripts and Playbooks.
