Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support and enhance manufacturing systems and business processes. You will work across functions to ensure digital solutions meet operations needs and governance standards.

The role involves SAP, SharePoint, SQL reporting, and Power Platform, with potential for shift-based hours as needs evolve. Strong collaboration with IT and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing engineering or manufacturing operations environment.
• Experience troubleshooting systems and resolving issues.
• Experience documenting business processes and capturing requirements.
• Experience or knowledge of developing or configuring software solutions to meet defined requirements.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for business systems including SAP, manufacturing systems, bespoke software and SharePoint.
• Support the IT Service Desk in resolving incidents and service requests.
• Contribute to the development, configuration and maintenance of business systems, including the primary manufacturing operations management system.
• Analyze existing business processes to identify, recommend and deliver improvements.
• Perform SQL queries to extract data and produce reports.
• Support line managers and stakeholders by producing, maintaining and interpreting reports and dashboards to inform decisions.
• Work with central IT to align with standards, governance and processes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the business as a trusted contact for system queries.
• Support delivery of solutions within Microsoft Power Platform.
• Lead business system and process change projects from initiation to post-implementation support.
• Facilitate workshops to elicit and document business requirements.
• Produce functional specifications for stakeholder approval.
• Plan and document comprehensive system testing activities.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and end users.
• Support training for new starters and refresher sessions.
• Improve training materials, documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
