Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an IT Business Analyst in Birmingham, AL to drive ERP/CMS, EDI, and data reporting improvements. The role emphasizes Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT enablement, and robust BI solutions to support manufacturing operations.

You will develop dashboards, reports, and integrations, while ensuring data accuracy and compliance across ERP/CMS environments. Requires hands-on experience with ERP systems, EDI, SAP, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Analyze business requirements to ensure ERP/CMS, EDI, reporting, and data collection support current and future processes.
• Develop IoT concepts connecting PLCs, equipment, SCADA, MQTT, SQL, Power BI into the IoT architecture.
• Create and supervise applications, reports, dashboards, integrations, and custom functions for ERP/CMS, shop-floor, inventory, production, quality.
• Provide ERP/CMS/EDI support, data interfaces, and external applications.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
• Design and implement Industry 4.0 solutions using SCADA such as Ignition, SQL, Power BI, OPC/Kepware, MQTT.
• Support ERP/CMS configuration, reporting, data integration, implementation, testing, and process improvement.
• Create, maintain, test, and troubleshoot EDI maps, vendor/customer connections, scheduled EDI jobs, and ANSI X12 or EDIFACT transactions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, metrics, monitoring tools, and data models for production, quality, and inventory.
• Work with Controls Engineering to verify shop-floor data accuracy from PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Assist with IBM i / AS400 / iSeries integration activities and related interfaces.
