Job summary

TRG is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop high-quality learning solutions aligned to manufacturing needs and safety, with a focus on performance-based learning across plant environments.

You will design engaging experiences using ADDIE, SAM, and scenario-based methods, creating eLearning, ILT/VILT, videos, simulations, and job aids to support operator readiness and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or eLearning, including manufacturing or technical environments.
• 2+ years supporting plant operations, launches, or shop-floor capability building.
• Familiarity with plant operations and standardized work environments.
• Experience designing web-based training (WBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) and blended learning.
• Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning theory, and modern learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Advise partners on adult learning, performance-based strategies, and workplace learning misconceptions.
• Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps and recommend interventions.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to validate learning needs and operational realities.
• Design and develop learning experiences using ADDIE, SAM, rapid prototyping, and scenario-based methods.
• Create multi-modal assets including eLearning, ILT/VILT, videos, workshops, simulations, and job aids.
• Prepare design documents, learning objectives, assessments, and success criteria.
