Manufacturing Industrial Painter (Metal)

Job Summary

The Painter Technician is responsible for preparing and painting components and parts to meet quality and safety standards for shipping. This role may require further development of responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency preferred; relevant work experience considered.
• 6 months to 5 years of painting experience, including mixing and applying automotive-grade, three-part epoxy paint on assemblies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate in English.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and basic math skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and paint waste disposal guidelines.
• Handle paint storage and equipment maintenance, including disassembly and troubleshooting of paint guns and systems.
• Apply paint to parts and assemblies, ensuring quality standards.
• Inspect paint thickness and monitor material levels.
• Maintain equipment and communicate with vendors and supervisors for process improvements.
• Prepare and mix paint, and ensure all procedures for non-conforming materials are followed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Lift up to 60 lbs and manipulate heavy equipment.
• Operate digital and manual equipment with fine motor skills.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, standing and walking throughout the day.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels.
