Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Turlock, California manufacturing facility. This onsite leadership role partners with business leaders to drive engagement, manage employee relations, and shape the workforce strategy.

You will navigate complex matters, coach leaders, and lead HR initiatives to support people, culture, and business success. The role requires manufacturing experience, strong partnership skills, and deep knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• HR leadership experience in manufacturing/operations environment.
• Ability to partner with business leaders and influence outcomes.
• Strong project management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience leading employee relations investigations with sound judgment.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance while ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
• Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, workplace concerns, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage workers' compensation, legal claims, workplace incidents, and regulatory matters with legal counsel and insurers.
• Develop and deliver HR training programs, coach leaders, support performance management, and oversee benefits administration.
• Guide employee separations, including layoffs and exit interviews, with a positive employee experience.
• Lead and conduct complex employee relations investigations with thorough documentation and escalation when needed.
