Job summary

Carrier is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support a large manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role covers employee relations, labor relations, performance management, talent acquisition, development, and HR operations, partnering with plant leadership and hourly employees to foster a positive work environment.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of HR experience, with preference for unionized manufacturing exposure, experience in high-volume hourly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years experience in human resources required.
• Preferred: unionized manufacturing facility experience; high-volume hourly recruiting/onboarding; familiarity with Workday; Lean manufacturing exposure; PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

Responsibilities

• HR Process Coordination & Administration: support HR processes, maintain records, and coordinate HR activities across the site.
• Hourly Recruitment & Onboarding: assist with onsite hiring events, onboarding, and new-hire orientation.
• Employee Engagement & Experience: help implement employee programs, communication, and events to improve engagement.
• Employee Relations Support: assist in preparing for employee meetings, documenting interviews, and maintaining records.
